A gathering is happening. Powerful mages from all over the multiverse are converging to one place to test their might. With some being skilled mages others are actually powerful planeswalkers looking for their next battle.It is a tournament unlike any other ever held.Thousands have shown up for this and through extreme qualifying matches the final handful have been gathered. The stands are filling in, beings from all over are glowing with excitement. Some have been painted to show support for their hopeful victor and others carry in signs each with unique phrases on them.
"Everyone take your seats, the first match is about to be under way!"
"Our first two warriors are none other than a powerful savior of Innistrad Thalia, Guardian of Thraben!"
" And harnessing the power of blue magic we have the mysterious Sakashima the Impostor from Kamigawa!"

The roar of the crowd becomes deafening to all, chants begin to storm through the arena. Some hurry to the restrooms and concessions in hopes to be back for the battle to officially start.
" Begin the battle!"
Both warriors face each other take a fast bow and arm themselves for battle. The duel starts of slow, with both just building mana until Thalia breaks the silence.
" I shall send forth my ancient artifact the Spellbook and next I will Gather the Townsfolk some clones to my aid."
"What an impressive move by miss Thalia, yet Sakashima remains unmoved. We should expect as much from a mage wielding blue magic." "The question is, when will we see some counter magic against Thalia?"
A golem stands beside both the combatants, they have been designed to take the form of anything they may need it to. Weather it be them selves on the battlefield as to keep from someone being killed, or a copy of another walker. Thalia's golem makes its way forward for battle.
" I'll send out the golem as a copy of myself and begin to end this battle fast."
" No, not so fast Thalia. My spell Stymied Hopes will stop this nonsense, unless you wish to use more mana." Sakashima seems to be gloating Thalia into something.
Letting things unfold, Thalia settled for the counter knowing she can just try again at a better time, but she does still have two creatures she can use.
"Fine then, my Townsfolk will just deal some damage to your lifepoints. "
The excitment is in the air, even the announcer can't control it. " Wow there we have it, some counter magic from Sakashima and even the first points of damage. That didn't take long at all."
The two continued to gather mana waiting for the right time to strike. Though Thalia kept the pressure on with her attacks. Ur-Golem's Eye has now appeared by Sakashima and left her blue mana depleted this time.
" Try to counter this one, come forth Angel of Jubilation!" yelled an excited Thalia.
" Wow what a powerful spell from Thalia! She even has given her other creatures a power boost, things could get real ugly for Sakashima now." The crowed roars in cheers yet again. Some chanting Thalia Going to Getcha. Yet again after a more powerful attack from Thalia, Sakashima just stands their planning her next move to victory.
The crowed has erupted in an even more deafening from Sakashima's latest move. The bomb was just dropped. Sakashima has just played her best spells. Goblin Charbelcher and and Mana Severance.
" What an explosive move by Sakashima! The power of those spells will more than likely spell the end for Thalia. How will she ever come back from this power move?"
The noise has dropped to silence, everyone that was on their feet has just collapsed in their seats. What seemed like a sure fire victory has just ended in one spell. Thalia has unleashed the power of Oblivion Ring.
" I...I can't believe it folks. Thalia has just stopped Sakashima's best spell in one move!" even the announcer can't believe what has just happened. Not one soul in the arena can handle it at once. Now what will Sakashima do?
Such a simple response from her actually, Mulldrifter is now flying high ready to defend its master. It now falls down to Thalia's next move to deal with this flying elemental. The time is now, Thalia can feel it. Sakashima has bounced the Angel of Jubilation back to Thalia keeping the incoming attack low. So she thought.
" Out comes my golem as a copy of myself yet again and even though you have made me recast my angel my attack will continue on your life points!" Thalia is standing proud and strong now, only having lost one life the whole match. Mulldrifter has been sent to the grave defending its master. Yet again the battle has changed as Sakashima lets loose more blue magic.
"Very well, then I will send out Renegade Doppelganger and my golem both as copies of your powerful angel." Sakashima says with a calm voice.
Another eruption from the crowd, everyone is on their feet anxious to see the out come of yet another twist.
Neither side does much for what seems like hours. Locked in a stalemate with each other, each attempt to gain an upper hand.
"Enough games, I can not win at this rate. Fated Retribution will clear the air of things. "
" Folks this is turning out to be one amazing match for our first round! Who would have imagined such a power house match?"
"Thalia once again sends out her golem of herself and it is met with an imediate counter spell. Discombobulate has sent the golem away yet again. It appears that Sakashima is looking for something folks. Divination, Mind Stone, Augury Owl wow some deep searching going on here. "
"Go forth Colossus of Akros bring victory to me!!"
"Grow monstrous my mighty colossus!" Thalia has found her path to victory it seems.
" Ladies and gentlemen, this is one giant of a beast. This next attack could be the end for Sakashima. But wait she does have a blocker! That poor owl stood no chance against this colossal foe."
Not one soul is sitting, everyone is on their feet cheering unsure who is going to win this match. Everyone wondering how will Sakashima fight her way out of this one? Is there anything that can stand up to the power of Akros?
" My golem will go forth now as a copy of myself at first, but using my powers it can become a copy of your mighty Colossus of Akros." a sinister grin has now come forth on Sakashima. Again her blue magic mastery has kept death from killing her where she stands. The crowd is in awe, completely lost by the match unfolding before their very eyes.
" A wise move Sakashima, but one I saw coming. But I will just have to Revoke Existence your clone and end this battle. Now my Colossus end this with one powerful attack!" Thalia erupted in power.
"Sakashima has fallen to Thalia.Thalia is moving on to the next round. But who will she face and how far will she make it?"
