The Hunt for Evil.

A flash of light and thunder echoes in the sky above they have herd this before and know what it means. He's coming to clean their world for his master they must stop him now.

"Follow me Kumano, he must have come through here."

The night sky casts a large dark shadow in the darkness with the red glow of fire lighting up the figure. Kumano rushes in the direction of the flames brushing aside any that attempt to lick his flesh. The natural animals of the world all are running for their lives, the birds flood the skies and then a terrible roar echoes from the flames. It is him!

"Hurry Thalia we must stop him here and now!"

Thalia is hot on the heels of Kumano, following his every step to keep the flames at bay. Finally they have reached the center of the destruction. The flames have scorched the earth from where he has let loose his power. It was worse than imagined, it's not the one they had hoped for but rather a pawn of his going on a rampage. Karrthus the Tyrant of Jund is destroying all in his path.

"We need to get his attention and fast before he destroys everything." exclaims Thalia
"I agree, so let us get his attention in a way only he can understand. Lets challenge him to a battle till the death. " Kumano stands in the path of the beast ready to challenge him.

Both must jump clear from the enormous fireball coming their way. Each of them start to channel mana to start casting their spells. Still running to keep up with the dragon. Karrthus then opens his giant wings and takes to the skies above still letting flames burst from his mouth, lighting the sky ablaze.

" What do we do now Kumano?"
" Simple, we get his attention and bring him back down to our level." answers Kumano.

Channeling more mana, Kumano shows Thalia how a red mage gets it done. The spell blaze conjures a fireball and sends it flying straight for the dragon. The dragon never saw it coming and lets out a roar of anger. His eyes now fixed on the two who challenge his power.

" You will pay for that with your lives!" roars the angry dragon swooping down from the sky. The earth rumbles and quakes from the force Karrthus lands with. A truly terrifying look is in his eyes, no hunger, no games only death for the two.

Thalia and Kumano stand in his path both ready to either die or kill this beast. Before the dragon can register what happened, Goblin Chariot comes out for his master Kumano and attacks him head on. The dragon only roars with even more anger.

Again the chariot charges in and deals more damage to the beast. Spear of Heliod is cast for Thalia and Kumano continues his power by sending out Stranglehold. Karrthus finally roars out two small goblins and now is making some defense for himself. Just the thing the two did not want to happen. But Kumano continues his attack while Thalia is building up a defense her self.

" You both shall burn in my flames to a crisp!" gloats the dragon.
" Some how, I don't see that happening you beast!" boasts Kumano knowing he has done some serious damage to the dragon.

Sarkhan Vol is now here to aid the dragon and things can get bad really fast now. But he won't be around for very long. Kumano keeps up the attack now having the help of his Thundering Giant to attack as well. Karrthus continues to try and find a way to bring the two down. Together they seem to be able to take down Karrthus and may can get a step closer to Nicol Bolas. The Furnace of Rath and  now Ornitharch are on their side. Another attack from Kumano this time taking down Sarkhan and  dealing serious damage to the dragon.

Karrthus now sends out his Beetleback Chief and two more goblins with it. But they all will be dealt with swiftly as Kumano attacks. Thalia summons forth her Serra Angel and now will be ready to mount a devastating attack soon.

The night sky still burns with the flames of the dragon but they are slowly extinguishing to nothing. Karrthus is weakening and the flames he commands show it clearly. Kumano and Thalia actually seem to have the dragon on the ropes.

" Kumano you stay back on this, I have this one." Thalia sends forth angel now equipped with the Moonsilver Spear.

" Fool, you should have kept the pressure on while you had the chance, now things are going to go my way." grins the dragon.

Doubling Season now comes down for the dragon and he even is able to use the Kazandu Tuskcaller's ability.  A terrible creature he was able to sneak under their radar that can turn things very quickly for the dragon. Kumano looks forth and smiles.

" Karrthus, Have you forgotten what my power is?"

Kumano now stands with his army and lets his ability loose, destroying the Tuskcaller in one blow and clearing a direct path for his army to attack and Thalia's angel as well. Or so he thought, before its death the Tuskcaller makes two beasts to stand where it once stood. Both are engulfed in flames from the attack though.

The mighty dragon again makes a skin crawling grin in the shadow of his flames. Sarkhan is back and this time he uses his true power. Making five dragons appear with him but thanks to the magic of doubling season, it is now ten dragons. From nothing to an army of dragons, what can one do against this?

Kumano only looks on as some of the dragons come his way dealing an impressive amount of damage. He sent just five of them but it is enough to bring him to his knees. He stands once again and looks at Thalia.

"I am sorry Thalia but I must do this and reset this battlefield before we both die. Forgive me." Kumano prepares to let loose a very powerful spell that will destroy everything in its path.

It's a direct hit as it were. Anger of the Gods takes down every creature that existed on the battlefield including the army Karrthus had just worked so hard to obtain. But thanks to the power of Goblin Bombardment, Karrthus can send his dragons to it and deal some damage to Thalia as well.

 Both of them attempt to get back in the thick of it swiftly though. Thalia sends forth Urbis Protector to defend from a possible counter attack. Its Kumano that lets loose a flurry of spells, Bloodmark Mentor, Koth's Courier and Manic Vandal all come out for their master. The Vandal destroys Karrthus's Sol Ring and leaves the dragon pondering what just happened.

He looks and finally spots it. Kumano would have been slain if it wasn't for that. Some point in this battle he was able to sneak on a Dragon's Claw. Flames of anger errupt from the dragon's mouth into the sky. Like a fresh sun rise, his flames light the area showering anything that may have been hidden in the shadow of the night.

Garruk Wildspeaker comes forth to aid Karrthus. Karrthus lets loose a skin crawling roar into the skies charging to an attack for Kumano. No way to stop or even gain some life the dragon burns Kumano in white hot flames. Or so he thinks. Thalia is able to pull him from the path at the last minute knowing he is unable to battle anymore it all comes down to Karrthus versus her. She gathers her magic and casts Day of Judgement. Every creature is destroyed yet again, nothing is left standing.

Nyxborn Shieldmate stands ready to defend his master in the blanket of darkness. His shield shining bright providing hope in the darkest of hours. Thalia stands with pride between life and death. It happens in an instant though. She never saw it coming.

Goblin Matron came down, with it Krenko Mob Boss and then a brutal attack. Both Sarkhan and Garruk use their power as commanded. Giving the new goblin force an impressive four more power and even trample now. Her shieldmate went down so fast it was never a question as to what happened. She was able to with stand that assault but how much longer can she fight?

Karrthus shows another grin.

" I warned you and now you both shall burn in flames. "

Doubling Season has proven to be a deadly spell for Karrthus and now it will more than likely mean the end of these two warriors. Karrthus sends in his forces. Thalia is ready for this attack and casts her Fated Retribution to annhilate the forces Karrthus has ammassed but its all for naught. He uses the power of his Bombardment to deal the finale blow to her.

Another flash of light in the darkness a thunderous roar echos in the skies again. More flashes of what seems to be white magic fling in the face of the Tyrant and then he is gone with  a flash. His flames have dwendeled down to just a glow. Both Kumano and Thalia stare up to see the figure that has just saved their lifes.

" Ajani! What are you doing here?" lets out Thalia.

No words are spoken, Ajani just stares off into the darkness lost in thought. Many know of his struggles. From the death of his brother and the recent passing of his dear friend Elspeth. He must be on the hunt for Bolas as well....
