The Craft Clashing Hoard

" Must get more scrap. Need more metal, must build better."
The flash of light from a planeswalker portal has opened and he is landing on a new world to explore..
He has been wondering from plane to plane collecting scrap metal from anywhere he visits. Some has been just a habit of collecting shiny objects others have been useful tools for his plans. His name is Daretti, Scrap Savant. After loosing his legs he has become a master of using mechanics to not only keep him mobile but build anything he may need, including weapons. His travels have led him now to the world of Tarkir, and is about to have a very complicated welcome...

"My Khan, we have seen a rather odd creature in the distance ahead. "

"Let us great this creature...and of-course obtain anything he may hold of value. " A grin forms on his face his brute power well known on Tarkir. The lord of the Mardu clan, Zurgo Helmsmasher is not one to show mercy.

Wondering through the desert, Daretti hovers around continuing his quest for more metal to build better machines. He can see there is little to find here, non the less he continues his search.
Traveling the plane, they come across Daretti himself seeking more scrap metal form this new world. Hovering along just muttering to himself ever surveying the ground for more materiel. The hoard has come up to this new creature Daretti, and are about to welcome him in the more traditional Mardu away..

" You are trespassing on Mardu land stranger, name your business here. " Zurgo himself addresses this odd creature.

" Name is Daretti, scrap metal must collect. In way, move." Daretti spoke with very short bursts showing some sort of low intelligence.

The wind howls and the dust is kicked up. The Mardu hoard raise their arms ready to charge in and slay the stranger. Zurgo holds his hand up keeping them from charging into attack.

" Well it would seem you have come here for not, I will be taking that object you are sitting in now." With a sudden rush Zurgo charges Daretti. The battle is now on between the two!

Daretti sends out his Ichor Wellspring to kick things off between them. Zurgo is unmoved by this pathetic artifact. A blessing for his army to come, Blind Obedience is cast by Zurgo.
Sol Ring is out for Daretti but is unusable from the Obedience. Zurgo continues his war plan by sending out an alarm. Raise the Alarm has now sent forth two warriors by his side ready to fight.

" This is a fight you can not win Daretti, I will crush you with my power. I am the Khan of the Mardu clan and you will fall to me."

" Daretti will not lose his shiny, defeat you I shall."

The battle rages between them, the sun beating down upon them and the heat breaking beads of sweat. Daretti is now starting to use his planewalker spark to manipulate this battle in his favor. He is quickly attacked by two soldiers in control of Zurgo.

Daretti is in command despite the what Zurgo thinks. Daretti lets loose the mighty power of Magmaquake to clear the battle field. Magma erupts from beneath the ground burning Zurgo's soldiers to a crisp before his eyes. Zurgo is forced into rethinking his battle plan before his army meets an untimely death.

Daretti sets in an evil like grin and a skin crawling roar echos from the skies. Zurgo's eyes grow wide knowing what that sound could be. A dragon! The mighty Steel Hellkite comes swooping down from the skies and lands next to Daretti. This dragon stands tall next to its master, the fear is in Zurgo's eyes but only for a moment. Taking things into his own hands, Zurgo decides to Terminate the dragon killing it instantly.

Oddly enough the strange goblin is unaffected by the death of his pet. Feldon of the Third Path comes to play and the reason is now clear. Daretti wanted his pet to die and for Feldon to use his magic for devastating results. He also slips out the Goblin Welder to help Daretti in his plan for the victory.

The winds are picking up even more making it harder to see the battle. Heat from the sun still beating down upon the two warriors. Water containers are passed around between the hoard as they dare not move from their spots.

The Mardu hoard can only keep eyes on the new foe amazed he can hold his own against their Khan. Thraben Doomsayer is sent forth to start a come back for his master. Daretti continues his assault now using Feldon to return the Wurmcoil Engine from the grave. With its death, two wurms now stand ready to attack.

" Interesting trick you have there, but it's time for it to end right there. Mortify will take care of your friend Feldon and now we shall see what you can do. " Zurgo keeps his calm ready to start taking command of the battle yet again.

Using the power of Buried Ruin, Daretti gets his powerful pet back. Steel Hellkite is alive once again and Zurgo's eyes grow even more. It is written on his face, that there is nothing he can do to stop it this time. Tarkir has not seen dragons on it in many many years, yet here is this stranger from another world commanding one around like some pet. The ground shakes from beneath their feet again. What is coming this time? Another dragon maybe? No, a giant comes forth for Daretti. It is Bosh, the Iron Golem.

Zurgo does what he can to make some sort of defense against the imposing attack. The attack comes with brute force. Fire lights the sky and the horrible power of the mighty Hellkite comes towards Zurgo. His Mardu hoard run for there lives fearing the dragon. Zurgo has no choice but to take this attack and continue forward. Daretti sets in another grin as he now brings back his Wurmcoil Engine and the ball starts to roll. The Spine of Ish takes care of the Obedience that has held him back for so long and opens the door for Daretti.

" So, Khan what shinys do you hold onto most? Daretti will have to collect them after you dead."
" Pathetic goblin, you still stand no chance against my power!"

Another assault from Daretti and more flames from the hellkite. Midnight Haunting allows Zurgo to block all the attacks and yet he is still on his heels. His hoard starts to whisper among them selfs about their mighty Khan. Goblin Welder uses his skills to bring back the Myr Battlesphere and with it a small army of myr. Bosh the Iron Golem now flings both the Solemn Simulacrum at Zurgo. Another brutal assault comes forth against the Helmsmasher all are blocked but just barely.

Zurgo is unable to get another answer to the incredible army that Daretti has assembled. Daretti prepared for one more assault on the Khan of Mardu. He sends in his army and deals the final blow to Zurgo. The hoard protect their Khan and carry him off into the dust leaving behind a small amount of metal for the stranger. They hope he won't follow them as the medics start to heal their Khan.

" Shiny shiny metals they leave, more to the collection for me."

Daretti opens another rift and flashes off the world of Tarkir to the next world ever in search of precious metals...
