The crowd and glaring sunlight are starting to over fill into the stadium. Excitement fills the air and vendors are advertising their merchandise. The announcer is taking his place ready to tell everyone who today's warriors are going to be. Many are still on edge from the ever looming threat of Nicol Bolas and now there is word of a threat that is just as evil. The monsters known as the Eldrazi have re-awoken and pose a new deadly threat to the universe. But enough dwelling on what could be, it is time to find brave and strong warriors to help us lead the fight against all of this terror.
"Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls, we have arrived here today to watch to brave warriors do battle. " The announcer is a small man by stature, but when he has that microphone he thunders about all others. His voice and excitement captures anyone in sight, in-spite his odd clothing choices. Pin strip pants of white and black. Long red hair with streaks of white in them running down a bright yellow button up shirt with long torn pieces for tails in the rear. An odd sight for sure, having his sun glasses perched on his long nose, he inhales a deep breath and begins again.
" What he have here is truly a spectical to behold. Each considered to be a master of death in their own right. But one is a 60 foot tall flying reptile, and the other a fallen angel soaked with blood. "
The crowd roars to life with these words eager to hear more.
" First up let us welcome the dragon master of death, Teneb, the Harvester!"
The crowd look all around women,men and child for any sight of this dragon. Suddenly he appears from the shadows cast out by trees blocking the sun . A massive black dragon swoops down in a terrifying grace. Huge gusts of wind fill the stadium and the ground rumbles as he lands. A face riddled with wrinkles showing he is a very old and wise dragon. Everyone looks on in amazement of the large dragon that now stands before them. No one sure that any angel, demon or mortal could stand a chance against such a foe.
"As always, another grand entrance from yet another Elder dragon. And to go with that a round of appaulse with simple amazement from all of you. Now it is time to welcome our next warrior. " The crowd grows silent, the sun beating down uppon them as it is high noon. Everyone caught up in the announcer's booming voice.
" She was once a deadly angel, but was betrayed. She is now soaked with the blood of many and has a very special power that strikes fear into any she faces. Please welcome Kaalia of the Vast!"
As the crowd begins to hunt for the new warrior, they see her. A chariot being pulled by a never before seen mix. A couple of demons and a couple of dragons are pulling her to the stadium. She even has an angel beside her keeping her cool in the heat of the day. She comes into vision and everyone can see. She doesn't only have angel wings. She has a set of blood red and black leather like wings resembling that of a demon. Her presence just commands everyone to be at awe.
Both warriors arm themselves and begin the fight. Teneb sends out the first of his forces with the Dragon Hunter. Kaalia lets out a smirk for her foe, as Teneb makes another move. This time he brings forth Borderland Ranger and sends his hunter to attack.
" Well it looks like things are starting off slow for Kaalia and Teneb has drawn first blood. "
Still no reaction from Kaalia. Teneb was able to assemble another force with Ondu Giant and now attacks her with all he has. Kaalia only continues to grin at her foe. She seems unthreatened by these attacks. Finally she shows her hand. Summoning forth Desecraction Demon a very horrifying demon now stands on her side ready to do her bidding.
" Wow that was a change for Kaalia, now I can see why she has been so unphased. How will Teneb react to this new threat?" The sun continues to shine beating down everyone with extreme heat. Not one soul ready to move in what seems like the makings of a fast match.
Enduring Scalelord now stands for Teneb. A large powerful dragon ready to do battle against this new demon. Kaalia keeps her demon ready to defend herself. Teneb finally reacts to the demon, using his spell Utter End to remove it from battle letting the dragon send in his forces.
"Wow this is looking very one sided. It would seem that Kaalia will not last against this dragon . " The crowd looks on with each cliff hanging word that the announcer booms out. All are starting to have to agree with his last statement. No one convinced that this fallen angel has a chance of winning against such a strong elder dragon.
Kaalia begins to glow a dark red as her spell Wrecking Ball takes down Teneb's scalelord reducing the damage taken. Kaalia begins to shine in the shadows of the trees, her eyes and tattos glowing more red as she has had enough. Kaalia now makes her stand on the battle field ready to face Teneb.
Kaalia charges in for an attack and with her, her special power now kicks in. She now has a fellow angel by her side from out of nowhere. Gisela, Blade of Goldnight is now attacking and ready to deal some horrible damage.
" I take it back folks Kaalia has just dropped a massive bomb on her dragon foe. " Everyone watches in complete amazement at what they have just seen. Both sides are starting to explode with some powerful spells.
Teneb lets out a small grin showing his massive teeth. Banishing Light and the Fiend Hunter take out not only Kaalia but her Goldnight as well. His forces swoop in for another attack leaving Kaalia with more massive sums of damage. Kaalia glows that blood red again as her spells start to come forth. A torrent of spells flys through the air. Journey to Nowhere and Oblivion Ring exile Teneb's most recent spells bringing her back with her angel as well.
" You may have foiled that last attempt angel, but victory will be mine in the end. " Teneb slowly rumbles out shaking some of the stands as he speaks.
" Ha, over confident aren't we? I hold more power than you can imagine elder dragon. Fear my power for it will be your end." Kaalia speaks with a spine shivering smoothness.
Kaalia and her Goldnight charge in for an attack but hey aren't alone. Raya Dawnbringer now comes forth for an attack adding to the damage being done. Teneb finally makes his way to the battle field ready to tangle with his new foe. The dragon grins and taunts his foe eager to feast upon her corpse.
Kaalia charges in for another attack bringing her angels with her. Teneb lets out the power of Domoka's Command in a last effort to take her down.
" This is the beginning of the certain end for you angel. Behold my terrifying power!" Teneb rumbles and shakes the stadium. Everyone in desperation starting to find a way hold themselves still as Teneb begins a final assault.
Teneb gets a small power boost and then his spell attempts to take out one her attackers. Gisela activates her ability and foils this attempt ready to deal the final blow to the dragon. Kaalia also glows with power again. Kaalia's power is so bright it begins to eclipse the sun above almost covering the battle field in a blood red. Finally Kaalia unleashes the Swords to Plowshares removing Teneb from battle. The finale blow is delivered and Kaalia has won against another powerful dragon.
A snap of her fingers and she is away into the heavens on her chariot again just as swiftly as had arrived.
" Well folks we have just witnessed an unbelievable come back from certain death. Kaalia was able to come back and take away the hopes of victory from the elder dragon. She is certainly a force to recognize. " The announcer thunders through the stands as the crowd explodes with excitement. Everyone wondering what will the next battle be like. Who will be our champion this year?
