The new construction is finally done for the arena. New additions to better protect the people that have come to watch some historic fights. The morning sun rises on yet another day of battle. Today's match up could go really fast or really slow. No one knows just how the last match of this tournament will end, but it should be exciting non the less.
" Ladies and gentle men . Boys and girls! Hurry to your seats as you won't wanna miss this next match. It is the finals after all and it should be an exciting end to another tournament.!"
The short announcer's voice booms through everyone's chest. His long tailed red coat fluttering a touch in the breeze that has come through the arena. The burnt orange of his shirt being seen as the coat flutters and the black with yellow-orange spotted pants being very noticeable. By now everyone who has seen the announcer Jax know he is a very odd fellow, and his clothing style just shouldn't be questioned.
The crowd has been pouring in all morning, a hustle and full of energy. Everyone rushing to grab a seat as the announcer begins to introduce everyone to today's excitement.
" Welcome everyone to another day of battle a brief construction intermission. But with that said and done, we welcome today's warriors. First up please join me in welcoming back the dark elf her self. Maralen of the Mornsong!"
The crowd bursts into applause as the dark elf in her casual way enters the arena . Her skin a brilliant golden color holding a truly ancient staff by her side. Long black hair flowing gently in the breeze that continues to blow through. Great horns on her head add a different look to her than what others are used to seeing from an elf. She must be a dark wood elf sort of mix if anyone had to guess.
" Wow as usual the elf race is always a beauty to see and can command awe with everything they do. But it is now time to introduce someone who has been a crowd favorite if you will . She has intense power and can strike fear in anyone's heart who face her. Please welcome the one and only Kaalia of the Vast!"
In the middle of the sun a small object appears and is growing larger. By now everyone knows this is Kaalia on her chariot . The skin crawling roar of a dragon and then a demon's thunderous growl lets all know she is on her way.As she draws to a stop in the arena everyone then notices the angel that stands behind her. It's the strongest angel known around, Avacyn in her pale skin, slim black dress ready to for battle. Kaalia's double set of wings glisten in the light as her slimming black leather armor and hints of red is there for all to see. One hand a staff the other what some guess is a heaven's sword. To complete the eyefull that is Kaalia , her bright red hair blows in the small wind guests and her dark red tattoos make her a sight for some who have never seen her.
" Wow always a breath taking entrace by Kaalia. But with that we must get this underway. Now warriors take your places, arm yourselfs and..... CLASH!!" Jax's voice booms through the arena and the crowd bursts into applause.
Kaalia unfolds her arms and stands tall.
" You could spare yourself the trouble elf, and surrender now. To end another's life is nothing new for me. I am on a mission and I will have my revenge." A very cool and yet threatening voice comes from her lips as she makes the first move gathering up small amounts of mana . Maralen doesn't respond to her threat and only gathers mana her self. Kaalia then sends out the first spell of the duel between them. Swiftfoot boots a very handy sent of ancient boots for whoever wears them .
" Well fallen angel, I would rather show you that not everyone is what they seem. " Maralen speaks softly and then makes her presence on the battlefield. Making her powers known to even the mighty Kaalia. Kaalia once again just continues to build up her mana supply. Maralen however begins to put her death clock on the fallen angel ready to end her fast. The breezy wind flowing through the arena as the sun climbs in the sky. Everyone fixed on what is about to unfold.
"Ladies and gentlemen as we know these two warriors can start if off slowly but when they get going look out cause the bombs will be dropping. " Jax's voice thunders through the arena as even he is looking for things to spice up soon.
Maralen gets another ancient weapon for her defense, the magical powers of Lightning Greaves. She then charges forth a blast of magic to deal minor damage to Kaalia and letting out an unusual grin from an elf. Kaalia begins to display her impressive wings and her tattoos glow a bright red. She now stands in the way of her foe ready to go head on with Maralen. Maralen lets out a surprisingly sinister smile for an elf, she has it. The main peace to her puzzle to put an end to Kaalia.
The Skirge Familiar now stands tall for Maralen with the lightning greaves equipped to it protecting it from possible counter spells. Once again Kaalia's tattoos glow and mana surges forth, a smile cracks upon her face.
" You pathetic elf. How could you think that this little assembly you have could stand before me? No one can match my power. " A very crisp and cold choice of words from Kaalia as she charges in for an attack. With her attack she brings forth the Platinum Angel. Maralen doesn't even react to the damage from Kaalia, She knows something everyone else does not. She knows the end is here and now for Kaalia , not even her new angel will save her from this.
In a furious blast of spells, Maralen unleashes her mightiest of spells. The powers of Ad Nauseam. A charging attack by Maralen and her Familiar sets up everything . First up after Nauseam she uses the powers of the Familiar to unleash a sea of spells starting with the Elixir of Immortality, a very powerful artifact. It is not used but swiftly is followed by the spell Death Cloud clearing the path for Maralen to end the little game they have been playing. The final blow came in the form of Exsanguinate draining Kaalia of her life to bring this to an end in explosive form.
"L Ladies and gentlemen it is over! Kaalia has been defeated by Maralen in a surprise upset victory, she is our champion! Join us again soon for another tournament of champions and enjoy this victory Maralen of the Mornsong!" Jax's voice breaks into everyone's thoughts saying just what everyone was thinking. It was a surprise upset for who everyone was sure could win...
The wind blows dust up as everyone exits astonished by what they have seen today and eager to see what the next one will hold.
