Alara... A place where there exist five separate planes each with a special wedge of mana to them. Grixis using red,black and blue.. Bant uses the power of green, blue, and white. Naya commands red, green and white. Esper controls white, blue plus black. Finally there exists Jund. Jund rages with red black and green mana....
Now young planeswalker, we have a brief idea of the plane Alara. Five powerful shards and each can be a dangerous place for a new walker to arrive at. For today we are going to talk about the plane Jund. A savage place to wonder off to. Goblins run free and in great numbers. Dragons sore the skies feeding on anything that they wish. Scorching earth beneath your feet with every step you take and as you would look up to keep watch of dragons, your eye will catch the towering power the mountains command. As impressive as this all sounds, keep your eyes trained on your surroundings young walker. A powerful tyranical dragon rules the skies of Jund, and he isn't alone. Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund is a legendary dragon of old with great command over red, black and green magic. This command has granted him the power to rule over Jund as a mighty dragon that he is. Commanding a vast army of fellow dragons makes him a deadly foe for anyone who challenges his might. We have managed to gather some of his more famous spells that he is know to use in battle. So many brave adventures have fallen to the might of Karrthus... Let us see what he enjoys using against his foes.

Challenging Tyrannical Rule
As you can see young walker, Karrthus commands great power at will. He isn't there leader for nothing. Yet so many in the past have attempted to dethrone him. So many explorers have visited Jund to free it from his tyrannical rule. All have failed to date young walker. In the end his power is overwhelming and they become his next meal. Bounless Realms of mana combined with the magic of Doubling Cube to further increase his mana storage. Then his fellow dragons can come forth without much hassil and bring about destruction with his command. He even has the power of a dragon worshiping planeswalker at his side to further increase his power and destruction. Sarkhan Vol worships the mighty dragon with his dying breath, and sometimes this can drive Sarkhan to be a touch on the mad side since his encounter with Nicol Bolas. Karrthus enjoys summoning the Broodmother in battles and combines her might with two other fellow dragons. Scourge of Valkas and Utvara Hellkite with the Broodmother make for a terrible combination of power. Broodmother spits out baby dragons contantly, and each new dragon under Karrthus's command triggers the special power that Valkas has. Valkas can deal damage to any foe equal to the number of dragons on his side. But the pain doesn't stop there! With every dragon that attacks, Utvara's special power kicks in. He calls for other less known dragons to appear in the battle and again each one triggers the powers of Valkas. It's a truly devastating combination the Karrthus has at his will. His other spells have been used rarely, giving us less information as to how often he uses them or when.
Victory or Death Awaits...
I would normally say it is up to you to decide your fate. Normally I ask if you have the power to face a powerful being we study in each lesson. That is not the case today young walker. I heed caution to you, never travel to Jund and pick a fight with this dragon. So many others have lost to his might, you would be lucky to escape with your life. Karrthus doesn't show mercy, he only destroys and feeds on those he has slain in battle. There is word that the planeswalker Jace Beleren may be attempting to free Jund once and for all. His control magic maybe the answer but he will need help. If you still wish to challenge Karrthus, I would strongly urge you to reach out to Jace and hear his strategy. In theory, if you can control what Karrthus is allowed to do a victory be possible. But this requires great magic and a powerful understanding of the mind. Both of which are a specialty that Jace has. May the gods be on your side young walker....
