EDH/Commander-Stompy List
The very earth we walk on can be a truly terrifying force if commanded right. In the multiverse young planeswalker, we will meet many different mages on our travels. Some are more deadly than others and out of them all there does exist a very powerful type of green mage. We have already covered this mage type before though this time there is a twist to it. Do you recall what we call a mage who can summon powerful creatures turns before they normally would come out to play?
Stomping the Earth
If you said Stompy when you herd this question, then you would be correct. A quick review of a stompy mage sounds like a good idea. A stompy mage is normally green but can be other mana colors as well. Stompy mages enjoy summoning creatures at a faster speed than they would normally come out. These aren’t just your normal creatures though, remember they summon creatures that are powerful in attack and even a strong defense to go with them. Garruk’s Companion is a prime example of a typical stompy mage’s creature.
So, are we ready to see what sort of twist I was meaning when began this lesson?

Commander
1xSilvos, Rogue Elemental
This young walker is what I was meaning. This is still a stompy mage but this mage is in command of his own army. Being a commander of his army, he enjoys using his creature’s overwhelming power to take his foes down. Sticking to the true nature of a stompy mage, he abuses creatures with high power and lower mana costs to come forth. It’s a very simple battle strategy. Summon my creatures faster than you and know my creatures are stronger than yours normally will be. His general in command though is a reliable creature by the name Silvos, Rogue Elemental. Silvos is a powerfully strong elemental who is a well known legend in the multiverse. As if this wasn’t enough of a handful for anyone to deal with, his second in command is none other than Thrun, the Last Troll. Together in combination with the others in his army, this is truly an up hill battle for most.
Surviving the Earthquake?
Survival. Survival is an instinct that one must have in order to have a chance at beating this mage in battle. He will come at you hard and fast. The gates will be swung wide open and the relentless charge will have begun as soon as a challenge has been issued. Caution should be shown when facing any mage in the multiverse, but a green mage who specializes in the stompy strategy can be extremely dangerous. With this new knowledge young walker, what will you do? Magic the Gathering has many answers to this, but which ones will you chose is the question?
