Wondering through a cave he could tell something other than a normal creature of Jund was hidden inside.
" What are you doing here warrior?" spoke a voice from the dark.
" Show yourself, maybe then I will answer your question" groaned Kresh.
A thin pale like figure emerged from the shadows. It was a dark elf, but what was a dark elf doing way out here. They normally are found in a dark forest not in caves in Mount Jund. Still there was something different about this elf.
"Now, what are you doing in my cave warrior?" she whispered.
" The same as you, keeping out of sight from the dragons." muttered Kresh.
" But are you not a warrior with great might to stop a dragon?"questioned the elf.
Kresh didn't acknowledged her question. He only looked down and found a place he could rest on the ground. He could feel his strength slowly coming back to him and his mana returning as well.
" This isn't enough space for two warrior, one of us must leave" said the elf in a harsh tone, glaring at Kresh.
" Well I do not plan on leaving this cave just yet elf." tensed Kresh glaring back at the elf.
Kresh slowly came to his feet, towering over the thin elf. Blood still flowing from his wounds on his arm. He knew a fight may result and attempted to show as little weakness as he could. The elf did not back down, she stood her ground too and motioned to the out side to which the sun was starting to set.
Dusk was beginning to settle in.
With a nod Kresh lead the way out and took his stand against the elf. He was weak, but he should have more than enough to banish this elf.
"Ladies first so take your best shot elf" motioned Kresh.
" My name is Maralen, warrior and you will call beneath my power" snapped the elf.
Kresh was confused by her first moves. All she did was build her mana, Kresh would stick to what works for him. Relentless assault and wasted little time doing so. Kazandu Tuskcaller was summoned forth to defend Kresh and begin leading his assault. Maralen only activated her ability and Kresh knew just what he wanted to do. He continued to build up his mana attempting to out run Maralen before what ever plan she has could be worked out.
" I am not sure what you have up your sleeve Maralen, But it will not be enough to beat me" grinned Kresh knowing what his next moves will be.
Maralen made a sinister grin, she has all the peaces she needs to win this battle.
"Behold warrior, my Skirge Familiar. It is the beginning of the end for you" snickered Maralen.
" That is an unusual creature Maralen, to bad it will not live." Kresh let loose a devious smile and summoned out his Goblin Bombardment. Using his Kazandu's ability he created another beast and used them to sacrifice to the bombardment killing the Familiar.
"That's enough of that creature" grinned Kresh.
" Do not worry my Familiar will return and it will end you." snicked the elf again.
Maralen let loose the power of her Elixir of Immortality, healing her and getting her creature back from the grave. Kresh was unmoved from this, and continued his battle plan to take his foe down. Doubling Season would begin a very fast clock of death for Maralen.
Darkness has brought out the stares above. With her pale skin glowing in the moon light, she was right. Maralen has summoned back her Skirge Familiar. Kresh was again unmoved by her pathetic attempt at keeping herself alive. Kresh sent forth his Beetleback Chief and used the powers of his Kazandu to create more beasts. Goblin Bombardment would prove to be a useful tool at this stage of the battle. Sacrificing his goblins and three of his beasts, Kresh cleared the path to attack with his last beast dealing some damage to the elf.
" You will need a better plan than that to defeat me dark elf." Kresh stood taller, feeling his strength growing and his confidence that he can come back from a horrible defeat. Karrthus his only defeat and now his ultimate motivation to victory.
Maralen stood still and determined to take her foe down even more so. She casts out another new spell to Kresh. Ad Nauseam. Her new spell was powerful and it clicked for Kresh right away on how her battle plan would unfold. Kresh knew right then and there he needed to stop her fast.
" I see how you win battles elf, I won't let that happen to me." determined to finish things fast, Kresh made his next move.
Using the power of his Primal Vigor with Doubling Season Kazandu would summon forth a barrage of beasts ready to feast on their prey. Yet again in the darkness, Maralen could see light. Skirge Familiar came to her aid again. making itself known ready to do battle. She could tell it would not live though. Goblin Bombardment would again defeat her creature with nothing she can do to stop it.
When the dust settled, there was no site of Maralen or the hoard of goblins that had been surrounding them. Unsure if he actually destroyed her or not, Kresh did not care. He gathered some wood from an abadoned wagon near by and made his way to the cave. With a fire burning to keep him warm, Kresh found a spot and made himself comfortable on the cave floor. Falling into a deep slumber healing his wounds as he slept. The warrior of Jund has grown in strength and soon he will challenge the Tyrant again.
